At BASF World Headquarters, TruGreen LandCare maintains an elliptical garden path constructed of pavers surrounding the numerous buildings and a 2-mile nature trail. We also monitor the property for deer and other wildlife to assure the animals do not damage the surrounding landscape.

CFC

The National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corp in Gainesville, Virginia features striking glass and granite buildings. The complementing landscape is an interesting juxtaposition that acknowledges the company's commitment to environmental issues. The property's crowning glory is a pair of courtyards offering an abundant mix of perennials, flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and trees.

Freddie Mac

Freddie Mac's Headquarters in McLean, Virginia is the 33-acre crown jewel of a high tech office infrastructure. Freddie Mac has used several renowned landscape architects to create a lush park-like setting by incorporating native species, perennials, and grasses. Mature perennials are regularly thinned to maintain long-term vigor. TruGreen LandCare also offers consulting and educational programs for the community of Freddie Mac employees.

Gaylord Palms

The goal on this spectacular 63-acre site is to maintain a turn of the century-type estate garden. We selectively prune all plant material by hand as opposed to shearing. We generously use creative displays of annuals and develop them through a trailing program. The combination of a convention center and resort creates scheduling challenges, but we have porter services operating throughout the property seven days a week. Keeping the grounds perfectly manicured year-round is also a challenge, particularly in the heat of the central Florida summers.

Howard Hughes

The ten year-old maturity of the landscape at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Chevy Chase, Maryland necessitates diverse landscape maintenance techniques to ensure its viability. Geometric courtyards and balconies give way to paved and naturalized walkways throughout the property, encouraging exploration and enjoyment of the grounds. We hand-prune all plant material and perfectly time insect and disease treatments.

Island Walk

Island Walk is a 700-acre gated community located on Florida's Southwest coast. Our staff of 28 full-time gardeners maintains the site in pristine condition. Maintenance challenges include the mowing of tens of thousands of square feet of steep slopes around water features, and manicuring a putting green and lawn bowling court.

Maryland Institute of Art

The Maryland Institute of Art campus stretches over 21 square city blocks. Landscaped areas are vast and diverse and include plazas, streetscapes, and intimate courtyard gardens. In addition to the basic landscape contract, TruGreen LandCare's responsibilities include hand-watering of the landscape. Coordination of maintenance activities with the school administration is critical, as many community and campus events are held on the grounds each year.

Oracle

Located in the busy metropolis of Reston, Virginia, Oracle Corporation's chrome signage is flanked by colorful annual plantings and flowing grasses that make a bold statement. Much of the landscape is softened by plantings that reinforce the natural themes and vernacular landscape characteristic of Northern Virginia.

Riderwood Village

The Riderwood Village Retirement Community was designed with seniors in mind, incorporating bird feeding areas, bird boxes, and plant materials known for their aromatic qualities. The site is groomed to the highest standards to attract new residents and keep current residents satisfied and excited about their environment. TruGreen LandCare must also keep in consideration the needs of a 100-strong resident garden club, when manicuring the landscape. In addition, there is strong client involvement from an on-site graduate of the Horticulture Program at Longwood Gardens.

Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort

The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, Florida is a three hundred-room, four-star, luxury resort overlooking the eighteenth green of the Greg Norman Tiburan Golf Club. TruGreen LandCare dedicates a full-time on-site staff to service the 13 acres of tropical turf, a practice putting green, and 10,000 units of seasonal color.

Texas State Capitol

Situated in downtown Austin, the prestigious State Capitol of Texas includes 14 acres of immaculate turf and abundant flowerbeds. The property experiences a high volume of foot traffic causing extreme wear and tear on the turf and plant material. Because of the excessive heat and wet conditions, TruGreen LandCare remedies turf areas that are prone to disease infestation.

Trinity Center

At the high-end office park in Centerville, Virginia, TruGreen LandCare's responsibilities include not only basic landscape and irrigation maintenance, but also the challenge of soil structure amendment through aeration and vertical mulching. This ongoing project has slowly rejuvenated damaged trees and shrubs which was resultant from early years in the heavy clay soil. The site contains a five-acre lake and a storm water retention pond.
